Review: LoveCats Designs, "Amp'd"

LoveCat Thei, owner and designer of LoveCats Designs, has offered this newest creation to her Neko-loving fans in Second Life.  The promotional on the night of the release was as follows:

"Loved Pyro? Went crazy for Waterfall?... this is for YOU

Like a lightning storm on a velvety black night sky....The highlight of this outfit is a gorgeous animated texture lightning tail with matching animated lightning boomers and bracers. The barely- there clothing layers are made to show off your delicious curves. matching ears and "captured lightning" necklace included."  

I was in the store with Mom when it released, and this is one of the most noticeable and beautiful outfits that LC has released.  Very rare in SL, especially with couture shops, this outfit actually features animated glowing textures in the tail, boomer boots, and wrist bands.  LC is one of the first designers to pull this off.  Plus, the store was packed the entire evening after this was placed as feature.

These pictures really do not do this outfit justice - you'll have to stop by LoveCats Designs in world to see it modeled (feel free to ask any of the models or managers to show it off to you).  I had gotten the outfit partly as pay and partly for this blog, and I am very glad I did.  Mom even got involved as she was able to model it off the next morning at the store.

Although the outfit looks better with the tail and ears, it still works well for those of you who prefer to not wear them. 

Personally, this is an outfit worth going Neko for, even if only for a night.  Even though it works as a regular outfit, the animated textures in the tail are what really bring it together, along with the boomer boots.  While this outfit is currently only available for the ladies, LC is working on a version for the gents as well.

Overall Review:  9/10

Pros:  Gorgeous textures, couture design, groundbreaking animated textures, works well with any avatar, easy to work with.

Cons:  Can be a little laggy on older computers or on systems with older or on-board graphics cards, or if there are several avatars wearing this near you.
