As everyone seems to have an obligatory trial/welcome post, this is mine. Hello Interwebs! This is Sonja Mistwallow. Currently I am the personal assistant to LoveCat Thei, owner of LoveCats Designs in the online simulator called "Second Life." If you're already a member of Second Life, you can visit our main store here. Otherwise, feel free to visit the website to sign up and take a look around, it's really a great place.
While I am not new to the internet, I have worked in network security for my entire professional life, I am new to blogging and social networking. With the help of a few friends, we are venturing out of the restraints of the SL-Universe and emerging into the cyberspace of the internet. People sometimes ask me why I have ventured into modeling in SL, and now to the point of being a personal assistant to one of the better known designers on the grid. It's simple - when you are a woman who spends most of her time at a computer or in a server closet, it is nice to be able to enjoy being a woman. Computers are nice, but they leave something to be desired when it comes to the essence of femininity.
What else? I have a masters degree, I moved back home to help my dad with his IT business (the network security stuff runs in the family), and recently we've acquired a mother - my father met her in SL, and they both also model at LoveCats. They took the big step of meeting, and then eloping, in real life. While this blog will be mostly about my own work in SL and at LoveCats, I'm sure you will hear about some of these players in my life. Mom and Dad run a custom build business in here with their good friend, Mom also helps me run and organize a wedding venue (she made all of her own textures for it too) and built my maternity clinic. Our real life neighbor and long-time family friend comes and goes - he runs a small photography studio with my mother in SL. He's also a RL photographer as well and I'm sure it will be mentioned how he's fallen asleep using our gaming rig to edit his photos again. He has nasty habit of that.
And finally the family photo (I'll add work photos tomorrow). Top row from left is Mom, the fashionista, Dad the "brains" of the outfit, our neighbor the photographer, Mom and Dad's friend who co-owns the build business, my aunt who is as much a fashionista as Mom is, and front and center is me (wearing one of my favorites from work, Gunshy). Tomorrow, a day in the life and a review of LoveCat Designs' newest outfit, "Amp'd."
